Before I joined Zenith, I had just decided to retake my A-Levels, which required me to redo all three H2 subjects and H1 General Paper. Initially, I was very worried as I planned to take the new GP syllabus. Lay Chun made lessons genuinely engaging—not just by being a fun teacher, but also by simplifying complex content. I joined Shi Neng’s class midway through J2 after NSG, and despite starting later than the other students, he made sure I could keep up and fully understand the content. When I first joined JC, I did poorly overall, with Math being my worst subject. This led me to join Kevin's class at Zenith. Kevin is incredibly patient — he honestly has the heart of a saint. He answers every question, even the ones that might seem silly, and will guide you no matter where you're starting from, even from ground zero. You’ll never feel afraid to ask him anything, and you can clarify any doubts almost immediately. It’s such a relief to be able to text him and get help with my Econs questions, especially compared to asking my fierce school teacher 😿. He makes Econs feel simple and easy to understand, especially for those of us who are really weak in the subject. It used to be so confusing to me, but after lessons with Kevin, I realised it's really just the same keywords and concepts repeated across different questions. I never saw that pattern during lessons with my school teacher because her answers always varied depending on the context, and there was no clear structure or template — which left me with so many questions about why certain keywords were included or excluded in different cases.

Duncan’s notes and summaries are clear and straight to the point, so revision never feels overwhelming. His lessons are always engaging, and he has a way of breaking concepts down so they truly stick. He would even call me at 2am to answer last-minute panic questions before an exam. What I really appreciate is that he also gives solid advice on studying and exam strategies in general. He genuinely wants his students to do well and puts in the effort to help them reach their target grades.

When I joined Duncan’s lessons at the start of JC1, I was concerned about transitioning from the O-Level to A-Level syllabus, but his engaging and thoughtfully structured lessons made the transition almost seamless. He is dedicated to his students, responding to my burning questions and misconceptions within 10 minutes, even late at night. When I struggled with school tutorial lessons, Duncan would stay back after class to run through all my questions, clearing my doubts efficiently and effectively. When I was feeling hopeless towards the end of A levels, Duncan’s constant encouragement gave me the confidence to continue. Without his patience and persistent effort, I would not have been able to maintain a decent score during JC or achieve an A at A Levels.

I found out about Duncan’s Physics lessons at Zenith through some of my friends from school and decided to give it a shot. Throughout J2, my Physics grades have significantly improved from J1. Duncan’s lessons were clear and engaging, and his dedication to his students goes beyond the classroom, as he often calls or sends voice messages to clarify our doubts. His lessons helped me truly understand and appreciate Physics, which made my learning process more rewarding.

Duncan is the most passionate and committed tutor that I know of. Firstly, Duncan’s explanations of Physics concepts are very clear and easy to grasp. Secondly, he is extremely hardworking, he always answers all of my questions and clarifies my misconceptions immediately by calling me at any time, even at odd hours. Lastly, Duncan’s selflessness and love for Physics means that he always completes what he wants to teach even if its means extending class. In short, Duncan is the best Physics tutor and as long as the students put in the effort, getting a A for Physics is almost guaranteed under him :)

Duncan's teaching sometimes makes you almost forget how much of a difficult subject H2 physics is, he manages to teach the most dry and soulless concepts in an engaging way that makes learning Physics worthwhile. Duncan always goes the extra mile for lessons and will undoubtedly always release you late just because he wants to teach more. What I'm most grateful for is that Duncan always replies to my doubts quickly with a call, this helped me to improve the most as it could clear my doubts quickly whenever I was practicing Physics at home. If you ask if I remember anything about Physics after my As, the answer is no, but I will always remember and cherish learning Physics with Duncan.

I used to believe that Math simply wasn’t my strength. After getting a U in my prelims, an A at A Levels seemed impossible for me. But with guidance from Chuan Li, persistent practice through countless TYS papers, and constantly clarifying my doubts, I trusted the process, gradually improved, and gained more confidence. Eventually, I achieved an A for A Levels and couldn’t have done it without the support from Chuan Li 🙏

One teaching style I really appreciated was Chuan Li’s focus on speed and accuracy. Since he knew we understood the concepts, he would often time us while we practised so we could solve questions faster and more accurately under exam conditions. He also exposed us to a wide range of question types and taught us how to recognise them. One unique approach he used was getting us to identify the steps needed to solve different question types without necessarily completing the full solution. This was a very efficient way to revise many question types and understand how to approach them. His lessons were always engaging, and time passed very quickly during class. Beyond academics, he also cared about our well-being, reminding us to stay calm, take deep breaths and skip questions when stuck, and maintain healthy habits like sleeping early and exercising. I would definitely recommend Chuan Li because he genuinely cares for his students while pushing them to do their best, not just in Math but also in developing discipline and good habits.

Firstly, Chuan Li’s teaching pedagogy is perfect for someone like me, where step-by-step teaching helped me understand the content so much better and learn how to tackle challenging problems. He breaks down questions and problem-solving techniques into key steps that allow you to understand the structure of solving questions, rather than just tackling them blindly. As someone who struggled with even understanding questions, this method was transformative. Beyond his way of teaching, the way the lessons, notes, and question sets were arranged for students was also well done. After going through the chapter notes that served as both clear explanations and succinct summaries, concepts were reinforced through an array of questions. Nearing A Levels, we were given problem set after problem set, filled with a compilation of questions ranging across all the topics we had learnt. This was very useful as it felt like a good simulation for the actual A Level paper, and the rigorous practice was key to getting exposed to and mastering more question types. What I felt was most useful to me throughout my J2 journey was how readily Chuan Li extended his help. Anytime I faced difficulty or confusion with school work or practice papers, he would respond to my texts in detail as soon as possible. This helped to clear the frequent doubts I had regarding Math, and if I didn’t know I had help available to me anytime I needed, I think I would have felt so lost. Most importantly, Chuan Li goes beyond teaching. He would often send videos of encouragement and remind us what we should focus on during the study break and the start of A Levels. This constant guidance, support, and motivation was something I was very grateful for, especially at a time when stress and anxiety were high. After the gruelling year and the many challenges with Math, I managed to go from a D in promos to an A in the A Levels. All in all, if you are feeling lost in Math and need someone to turn to for extra help, to bring clarity, and steer you on the right path, Chuan Li is the way to go!

I developed a much stronger grasp of economic concepts, especially through Ms Eunice’s use of real-life examples to illustrate complex theories. Chuan Li is an excellent tutor who focuses on strong fundamentals and lots of practice, which really helped me improve my understanding of Math. Over the two years, I was able to consistently maintain an A in Mathematics and eventually achieved an A for my A-Levels under his guidance. He is also very friendly and approachable, always quick to reply to questions no matter the time.

I joined Zenith in J1 after realising I was falling behind, and it was one of the best decisions I made. The notes provided were clear, well-structured, and made the content so much easier to understand compared to what I was used to. I used to struggle a lot with my answering techniques for chem which caused me to score less even after memorising all the content. Ryan’s approach of highlighting the keywords and how to analyse each question type helped me out the most. Nearing A Levels the time trial sessions also helped me really manage my time and build my confidence! At the end I managed to get a B which is a huge improvement from my previous U grade and it surpassed my own expectations also, all thanks to Ryan!

I was really struggling with the mental aspect of tackling A levels especially with H2 Chemistry. During lessons, Ryan really engaged us in the concepts by frequently asking us questions to test our understanding as well as learn from other student’s mistakes. I can definitely say that at the end of 2 years of tutoring under Ryan, my confidence in chemistry had definitely increased progressively. I joined Zenith early on in J1, when A Divs and school events were frequent and had me missing a lot of classes. My experience in Chemistry class with Dr Ryan was amazing! We were always checked up on and the lessons were so engaging that I never found myself struggling to grasp concepts or lagging behind! I’ve been having A-Level Physics tuition with Han Wei for a while now, and it’s honestly made a huge difference for me. Before, I used to get stuck on a lot of concepts, but he explains things in a really clear and simple way that actually makes them click. Joining Zenith Math tuition proved very useful to me, despite not resulting in a big grade jump. It helped me stay consistent in my work so that I could focus on other weaker subjects. My tutor's teaching style suited me because he gave me tips on how I could work faster and more efficiently. He could also explain questions in a way that I could understand. However, Laychun really believed in me and kept providing extra consultations to clear up my doubts, breaking down abstract concepts into simple explanations. On top of that, the notes, answering formats, and predictions provided by Zenith were really helpful and game-changing. Before joining Zenith GP in J2, I was very discouraged by GP in school. I had zero direction or concept of how to write good essays nor how to structure my AQs. Throughout my JC life, I’ve always struggled with GP as I’ve never had a flair for the English Language. I joined Zach’s classes in April of JC2. Though the duration I had for tuition was relatively short as most students start early in JC1, I benefited immensely from Zach’s GP lessons. At the start of JC, GP felt like a subject that was almost impossible, which was really discouraging. I wasn’t very familiar with what the different components of the subject required, and the thought of memorising case studies for essays felt quite overwhelming. However, under Zach’s guidance, GP gradually became much less daunting. The techniques he taught us, often explained through simple acronyms that were easy to remember, helped me approach questions with more confidence! The weekly newsletters also helped me build up my example bank, which made it much easier to remember and apply examples in essays. Joining Zenith is definitely something I don’t regret. I was fortunate to have started and ended my General Paper journey with Zach. While it was a subject I struggled to grasp initially, Zach has been a great source of help. Living and breathing GP, Zach constantly encourages his students to practise critical thinking beyond academic work. I never expected a tuition center to have the ability to make a student passionate about learning, but I found myself doing exactly that with Zenith’s GP class. GP itself is objectively a hard subject to learn because it doesn’t have a fixed syllabus. It should be daunting, but my tutor, Zach, made it easy. There’s an indescribable joy in discovering what we would be learning each week, and his pace was just right to ensure conducive learning without losing my interest. His way of teaching is structured, patient, and approachable, making it well-suited for those who may be lost when it comes to GP. I joined Ming Liang’s class in mid-J2 as I was struggling with statistics. Before that, I often felt very lost in class when it came to my weaker topics, such as vectors or statistics. Ms Jaymi is an amazing teacher. She is very patient and will help you regardless of how busy she is. She will always make time for you and go the extra mile to make you understand the concept. Her teaching style is very paced out such that it is easy for everyone to understand. She gives critical feedback and gives supplementary practice to ensure that we understand the mistake. I have some queries regarding the GP, and I text her; she replies quickly with elaborate explanations. Because of her, I jumped 4 grades from an E to an A in A Levels. She is a stellar teacher.

In these two years, my tutor, Kane, has guided me from a student struggling to understand abstract concepts in Economics to one who can answer a diverse range of questions with a strong foundation built on systematic answering techniques. Kane’s teaching style involves breaking down confusing concepts into smaller, more familiar topics that are easy to digest. Once the concepts are understood, he implements a reliable answering framework that makes seemingly complicated questions much more manageable. The jump from Secondary to H2 physics in JC was honestly pretty difficult for me. I joined Zenith after the June holidays as my Physics wasn't the strongest and I was struggling to adapt to the new concepts and topics taught. However, Han Wei was an amazing teacher and made lessons very interactive, asking everyone questions during classes and teaching us to the best of his abilities. He's always willing to stay back after class to answer all my questions, even if most of them seem dumb, and replies to all my questions online no matter the time. I jumped from a C for prelims to an A for Physics during A levels thanks to his support and encouragement. Without him, I wouldn't be able to achieve such results and I'm grateful to have him as my tutor during my JC years.

I think Ms Jaymi is a really friendly and nurturing tutor. I appreciated how detailed and straight-to-the-point her teaching style was, telling me what I needed to know instead of beating around the bush. Particularly, I found her Paper 1 skills tips notes really useful, and they helped to make my essays more structured.

Mr Hanwei started teaching me in 2025 when I was in J2, and at that time I was stuck at a D for H2 Physics. I honestly didn’t think I could improve to an A. One moment that really stood out was before our Weighted Assessment 2, when many of us were confused about electromagnetic induction. We kept mixing up which formula to use, and the 12 formulas in that topic felt overwhelming. He patiently showed us how they were connected and taught us a simple way to remember and apply them, which made everything much clearer. What made him stand out was his patience and thoughtful approach to teaching. Every practice and recap was purposeful and helped prepare us effectively for exams. He always came to class well-prepared and made lessons engaging, which really helped during stressful periods. He is truly one of the most patient and dedicated tutors I have met. With his guidance and support, my grade improved from a D to an A, and I became much more confident in Physics.

Under Mr. Yuan Ping’s clear and direct teaching, alongside his effective revision plans, I built a strong understanding of the entire syllabus. During the stressful A-Levels period, he was encouraging and would remind us to take breaks, emphasizing that our efforts to do well mattered more than our results. Lay Chun is kind of funny, which makes his class entertaining and helps me stay engaged with his lessons, allowing me to properly absorb the Economics content. His succinct and clear-cut notes also made it easier to revise the content on my own time! Additionally, the intensive time trials nearing A-Levels heavily boosted my confidence and prepared me to write under time conditions and pressure.

Ming Liang is a great math tutor! I love the way the class is conducted and appreciate how he caters to everyone’s needs during lesson time by walking around and checking everyone’s work individually. Class time is always productive and comfortable, and I never once felt ashamed to clarify my doubts with him! Thank you so much, Ming Liang, for helping me secure my A for Math 😁.

I really appreciated the analogies and jokes FY used to help us better understand the concepts, as well as the weekly content recaps to further drill in the large amount of material. He was also very prompt at helping me clarify my doubts online and always encouraged us to keep improving.

Starting Economics in JC can be incredibly daunting as it’s a completely foreign subject to most. However, Zenith’s masterfully designed notes and lessons break down massive topics into digestible, relatable concepts, making the syllabus far less intimidating. YP had a unique teaching style that never failed to capture your attention, no matter how you were feeling that day. I remember feeling so lost about Econs in J1 since it was a very foreign subject to me, but YP made it so easy to understand. He often used analogies to make Econs terms more relatable and cracked the funniest jokes to keep lessons lively and not dry. He was always reassuring and knew the right things to say during stressful periods. Despite teaching multiple classes of 15-20 people, he still somehow managed to give individualized attention to each student. He always remembers to give his students their due praise when improvements are made, but also checks up on those who are falling behind without immediately scolding or blaming them. YP is a really solid guy, and he really carried my Econs throughout JC. Everybody should attend YP’s lessons 👍💪

At the start of J2, I had no idea what was going on with macroeconomics. I did not clearly understand which parts of my lecture notes I was supposed to memorise and study or how to structure my essays. However, YP’s teaching style was SUPER clear and straightforward, mainly due to his essay plans that allowed me to take note of the crucial parts of my notes to study, ensuring I didn’t memorise redundant information.
