Secondary School March Holiday Crash Course

Ms Irene is one of those teachers who patiently and thoroughly answers questions to make sure that her students understand the math concepts being tested. The questions that she gives to us are usually slightly harder, to ensure that her students are able to do intermediate, and even advanced questions confidently. To Ms Irene, thank you so much to bring up my math grades in 2025 after I was sick for a long time and had to miss so many lessons and still enabled me to score distinctions for both E Math and A math. I'll miss you😭😭

Teacher Irene has a really approachable nature, and has provided constant support for me when she taught me. Her patience and guidance have allowed me to consistently perform well in my school Weighted Assessments and year end exams. During the O-Level season, she even provided me with more challenging practices that thoroughly prepared me for my exams. This eventually led to me attaining an A1 in both E-Math and A-math. Teacher Irene is a really kind and patient teacher, preparing us adequately before exams. She structures her lessons according to our school's pace, or what we would want to focus on for that particular week. Before tutoring sessions with her, my Math grades were either a B or a borderline pass. I was struggling to keep up with the Mathematics curriculum. After being taught by her, I managed to catch up with lessons and even gained he confidence to take AMath in upper secondary. At some point, I started to love mathematics as a result of her teaching. I joined Joshua's Chemistry class in Secondary 4 because I was constantly failing the subject in Secondary 3, causing me to dislike it. Joshua's classes were both fun and useful, and helped me to understand the many concepts taught. Under his teaching, I was able to strengthen my foundation for the subject and improved from a C6 to an A2. Thanks to his classes, I enjoyed and appreciated the subject more!

After much guidance from Joshua, I improved from an F9 in Secondary 3, to an A1 in O-Levels. He not only gave me attention during class, but even sacrificed his time before and after class, to help clarify my doubts over specific questions I had regarding the practices that I did on my own free time. I joined Joshua for O-Level Pure Chemistry because I required more guidance to score for Chemistry. I constantly performed poorly in the subject to the point where I even failed my end-of-year examinations. However, Joshua was patient and explained challenging concepts to me in simple terms, to ensure that I could understand them. He also tested us on our content in classes to reinforce our understanding. Thanks to Joshua’s guidance, my grades improved from an E8 in my Secondary 3 year end exams, to an A1 in O levels.

Andrik is a tutor I can always go to without hesitation whenever I have doubts. He explains concepts clearly and patiently, which helped me gain a much better understanding of Math. Teacher Andrik really helped improve my mathematics grade, raising it from an F9 to a B3! He’s a very patient teacher who always finds the best method to help me understand mathematical concepts. Andrik's teaching is solid and effective! He has been very patient with me while trying to solve problems. Although the problems are very difficult he tries his best to guide me toward the right answer with various methods and explanations. He is by far one of the best teachers I have ever come across and I would recommend him to students who need help in both E and A maths.

Teacher Andrik is one of the best tutors you can have. He taught me EMath and AMath in upper secondary, and I have learnt so much from him. Academically, his teaching style has helped me grasp concepts much more easily as he would tailor and emphasise on the parts I was weaker at. Ms Jo-Anne’s lessons are very well-structured, and I have personally learnt a lot from her. Some lessons focused on current affairs, while others were aimed at building stronger comprehension and writing skills. The mock practices conducted have been especially helpful, allowing me to better understand my own standard and identify areas for improvement. I genuinely enjoyed attending her lessons. I am extremely grateful to have Nick as my Physics and Chemistry teacher. He creates a comfortable and friendly learning environment that gives students the confidence to ask questions freely. Before joining his lessons, I consistently scored around a D7 and struggled to understand many concepts. However, in just one term, Nick helped me improve from a D7 to an A1. Nicholas teaches Chemistry in a clear and precise way that makes even complex concepts easy to understand. His lessons helped me improve my answering techniques, and he always takes the time to explain unfamiliar topics and clarify any doubts. With his guidance, my grades improved from a consistent C6 in my weighted assessments to an A1 in the O-Level examination. Daryl helped me improve by going through each Chemistry topic thoroughly and highlighted key concepts. I joined Jia Yi’s class at the start of Sec 4, when I was scoring Bs and Cs for Chemistry. Jia Yi is extremely patient, he always takes the time to explain concepts clearly before moving on. During lessons, he asks questions to ensure we are following along and that we truly understand the content, helping to reinforce our learning. Outside of class, he is also very responsive and replies to questions I may have regarding the subject very quickly, regardless of the time. The support and guidance he provided greatly improved my confidence and understanding of the Chemistry subject, which was reflected in my O-Level results.

I joined Jia Yi’s classes after attending his trial class, where I realised the support provided by him was sufficient in helping me address my weaknesses in Chemistry. Jia Yi explained concepts clearly and patiently during lessons, allowing me to be able to understand the subject much better. He provided many past year papers for us to practice during lessons, reviewing them immediately afterwards. I found this method very effective as it helped me to identify my mistakes and learn from them quickly. Jia Yi was also very responsive and replied promptly whenever I had questions. With his guidance, I was able to jump five grades.

Previously, I struggled with inference-type questions, often feeling overwhelmed. However, Ms. Jo-Anne taught me clear techniques to identify question types, which helped me approach both narrative and non-narrative passages with much greater confidence. Under her guidance, my English improved from a consistent C6 to a B3, a testament to her dedication and exceptional teaching. Ms Alicia really helped me improve my Amath from a D7 in Prelims to A2 in O levels! Despite me being more quiet, she still reached out to me and asked if I needed any help in Amath, and was very willing to provide support whenever I needed. She also takes the time in class to go through the concepts very clearly every lesson and I really managed to solidify my learning super well!

Before joining Zenith, I was stuck at a B grade for my A-Math in Secondary 3 and 4. However, joining Alicia’s class completely changed the way I learned Math. Within the span of 2-3 months of learning with Alicia, I managed to get distinctions for my A-Math. My love for Math was reignited, and I really enjoyed studying it. I met Kaiwen when I was struggling with A Math and had no confidence going into TA1. In just two hours, he helped me understand all the A Math topics covered in Term 1. He guided me from not knowing where to begin with a question to confidently identifying the question type and solving it with ease. Kaiwen explains A Math concepts clearly and concisely, making them easy to grasp, which is why I decided to join his class. Throughout my two years in upper secondary, he helped me consistently achieve A1s for A Math. Over time, I gained confidence and even began to enjoy the subject more. I attended a crash course at Zenith in Secondary 3, where I first met Kaiwen. A-Math was a subject I really dreaded studying for as the content was tough and it was difficult for me to completely grasp one topic before we moved on to the next. Mr John, the absolute goat, is the most incredible tuition teacher I have ever had. He is a very down-to-earth, laid-back guy that I'm not scared of asking questions to. He gives comprehensive notes that he stayed up till 2 am compiling; oral tips, sample essays, past year questions, how to identify and answer every question type in P2, how to score well for editing instead of relying solely on “what sounds right”. Everything was in there. I had always wished to have collated notes for the respective skills and question types but was unable to create them myself because my knowledge and notes were all over the place. The biggest impact he had on me was when he taught me how to write essays. I completely banked on solely practising argumentative or discursive essays because I only knew how to do that. However, through Mr John's teaching, I discovered that I learnt best through examples. He showed me some example essays and and explained in such a way that I realised I was starting to get the hang of descriptive essays. Mr John and his teachings directly impacted me as I went from someone who had never written a descriptive essay before, to someone who chose to write one for my Paper 1 in English O-Levels. I even used many descriptive phrases from his sample essays which made me feel adequately prepared for my O-Levels, and I will forever be grateful for it. From scoring C grades for English, I managed to score an A1 in my O-Levels. I am so glad I found Zenith and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who struggles in subjects that Zenith offers — even people who think there's no hope. However, Ms Natasha was really patient and thoroughly went through the respective topics with me step-by-step, explaining the different concepts in a way which helped me to finally understand and catch up. With her help, my grade improved from an E in every Secondary 3 exam, to an A1 in my O-Level examinations. Her explanations were clear and she never made me feel dumb for asking questions. I’m really grateful for her help!

I joined Jia Yi's class in Sec 4 and he quickly helped me rebuild and strengthen my foundation in the Chemistry subject. I remember scoring a C5 for my WA2 in Sec 3 before joining Jia Yi’s class. After joining his lessons, I was able to improve from a C5 to an A1 in my subsequent weighted exam and have consistently scored A1 in all my exams since, including my O-Levels. I used to believe that A Math was a subject I would never do well in. However, it felt like a turning point when I found myself able to confidently solve the questions Kaiwen gave us.
